Our Process

C-Loop utilises an Anaerobic Digestion Fermentation Process to produce biogas which will be used as the fuel source to generate baseload renewable electricity. The electricity produced will be distributed through the local Ausnet network, providing a reliable, continuous source of electricity within the local area. The byproducts from anaerobic digestion include carbon dioxide and digestate containing nutrients. The carbon dioxide and nutrient, combined with sun and water will be used to cultivate microalgae year round. The entire process makes use of the carbon contained within waste, producing baseload renewable energy and protein with a low carbon intensity.
